12 Quotes From A Man Who Made Dreams Happen

Few companies around the world have the same wide reach as Disney, and few companies have inspired as many people even half as much as the company founded by Walt Disney. This is a man who had the audacity to dream of something never done before and than still had the nerve on top of that to follow through with it. Any man like that is a man worth listening to. Here is Walt Disney had to say.
“It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
“Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious…and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”
“Somehow I can’t believe there are many heights that can’t be scaled by a man who knows the secret of making dreams come true. This special secret can be summarized in four Cs. They are couiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy and the greatest of these is confidence.”
“Crowded classrooms and half day sessions are a tragic waste of our greatest national resource the minds of our children.”
“Get a good idea and stay with it. Dog it, and work at it until it’s done right. “
“The more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique.”
“We are not trying to entertain the critics. I’ll take my chances with the public.”
“You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.”
“You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality.”

Disney is the most powerful evidence I know that believing in dreams is not just for children. I make case studies on him in some of my trainings, and the ways he managed to enjoy life, while helping others enjoy it as well.

Disney didn’t see people as children and adults. He aimed for children, and bigger children. Dreams are absolutely for all ages, and they are best when acted on.

I met a woman whose grandmother worked for him and I heard that in addition to being a fearless visionary, he was also a kind, warm and gracious man. Making dreams happen is great. Even better is if in making dreams happen, we remember to practice kindness, a virtue that sometimes falls by the wayside in our success obsessed society.

Hello Justin,
Great work putting all the thoughts together here.
Very inspiring. Yes, Sir Walt Disney was a great person – I still love the Mickey Mouse :)
My favourite is “Somehow I can’t believe there are many heights that can’t be scaled by a man who knows the secret of making dreams come true. This special secret can be summarized in four Cs. They are couiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy and the greatest of these is confidence.”
Bye for now,
Cheryl
